PETALING JAYA: Samaiden Group Bhd’s proposed tie-up with Gruppe Lightning Solution Sdn Bhd to develop and implement comprehensive solar street lighting systems is seen as a positive development.
According to analysts, the collaboration is expected to widen Samaiden’s portfolio and provide the group with opportunities to enhance its order book. This should support the long-term growth of the clean energy solutions provider.
MIDF Research, which maintained its “buy” call on Samaiden with an unchanged target price of RM1.57, viewed the collaboration as an avenue to expand portfolio.
“The collaboration with Gruppe opens the avenue for Samaiden to expand its capabilities into advanced lighting solutions driven by solar, providing the group with opportunities to replenish its order book and expand its renewable energy (RE) initiatives.”
Similarly, Apex Securities said the collaboration was a significant milestone for Samaiden in entering the lighting industry, specifically targeting the implementation of solar street lighting systems.
“Leveraging onto Gruppe’s expertise in lighting and Internet of Things capabilities will enhance Samaiden’s technological offerings, especially in Battery Energy Storage Systems, thereby enhancing competitiveness of offering solutions.
“The collaboration aligns with Malaysia’s RE goals by working on smart city projects that aim to reduce carbon emissions and provide guidance for green solutions in cities and townships,” it added.
