Internet service provider (ISP) Time dotCom Berhad (Time) is now rolling out a free speed upgrade to its customers on existing plans ranging from 100Mbps to 500Mbps.
Customers on the 100Mbps plan will be bumped up to 200Mbps, while those on the 300Mbps jump to 500Mbps and those on 500Mbps get upgraded to 600Mbps.
Existing Time subscribers can check if they have received the upgrade by logging into the Time self help page, which will display their existing plan.
A notice on the webpage also reads says that “everything else stays the same! There will be no change to your existing broadband fee, contracts or discounts (if any). More deets coming soon.”
When contacted, the ISP’s customer support team said that the free upgrades initially started rolling out on March 22 and is expected to take two months to reach all customers.
“If you are one of the eligible subscribers, we will reach out to you soon! As speed upgrade will take approximately 2 months, starting 22 March 2024, it will take some time before we can reach you.
“You can check your Self Care account or Time Internet app for updates,” it said.
