KUALA LUMPUR: SSF Home Group Bhd aims to capitalise on opportunities presented by a gradual recovery in the country’s exports and steady domestic demand in the services sector.
“Our cautious optimism is fuelled by the consistent consumer demand and the supportive labour market.
“Our group has opened three additional retail outlets (i.e. Kluang, Seremban and Teluk Intan) in the fourth quarter of FY24, which is a strategic step towards enhancing our market presence thoughtfully and sustainably, reinforcing our commitment to our customers and our vision for strategic growth,” said executive director Lok Kok Khong in a statement.
During the third quarter ended Jan 31, 2024, the furniture and home decor retailer announced a net profit of RM1.98mil on revenue of RM37.71mil, which was a sequential quarterly improvement due to the seasonal holiday period.
In the preceding quarter, the group registered a net loss of RM3.64mil on revenue of RM31.32mil. The group explained that apart from the lower sales contribution, the bottomline was impacted by one-off listing expenses.
There are no comparative year-on-year figures as SSF was only listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in October 2023.
