PETALING JAYA: Perdana Petroleum Bhd (PPB) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB), has secured five job wins from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) with a cumulative value of RM68mil.
In five separate filings with Bursa Malaysia, the offshore support vessel operator said four of the jobs were contract extensions and one was a new job for the provision of anchor handling tug and supply vessels (AHTS).
Out of the four contract extensions, three were for AHTS while the other was for an accommodation work barge (AWB).
The new job award, which has a duration of 238 days commencing on the vessel’s on-hire certificate date, entails the provision of an AHTS vessel with crew and equipment to perform a continuous 24-hour service by PNSB to PCSB for the purpose of assisting and/or servicing drilling rigs, offshore installations, derrick barges, towing and anchor job.
On the other hand, the AWB contract worth RM19.8mil was extended for 271 days from Nov 4, 2023.
Additionally, an AHTS contract worth RM9.1mil was extended for up to 140 days from Jan 24, 2024.
Further, another AHTS contract valued at RM13.7mil was extended for up to 244 days from Nov 29, 2023.
Moreover, an AHTS contract worth RM8.3mil was extended for up to 254 days commencing on Nov 21, 2023.
PPB said all the contract extensions and the new job are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024.
