KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Islamic Bhd and Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) have forged a partnership to deliver the country’s first Islamic Banking as a Service (BaaS) solution powered by 5G, with the launch of Go Niaga.
In a joint statement yesterday, they said the partnership was designed for consumers and micro, small and medium enterprises.
“This collaboration combines the best of Maybank Islamic’s diverse financial services and TM’s recognised Uni5G Postpaid Biz mobile packages, creating seamless access and experiences for today’s digital customers,” the companies said.
The statement added that Go Niaga is a mobile business banking bundle designed to help businesses manage finances, improve incomes and offer digital payment options powered by secure 5G connectivity and networks.
“The bundle will address current market gaps among the segment and enable businesses to better participate in eCommerce and expand their customer reach,” they added.
Maybank Islamic’s chief executive officer Datuk Mohamed Rafique Merican said the partnership opens up unique opportunities in delivering Islamic banking services to customers.
