PETALING JAYA: There was no Chinese New Year joy for swimmer Khiew Hoe Yean on the opening day of the swimming competition at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, yesterday.
The 21-year-old Paris Olympics hopeful managed to dip under the 3:50 mark in the men’s 400m freestyle event at Hamad Aquatic Centre after clocking 3:49.14 to finish third in the third heat.
