GX Bank Bhd (GXBank), a digital banking services provider, has announced that it is currently rolling out support for DuitNow QR to users in stages, allowing for payments and transfers via QR code.
Once rolled out, users can access the feature via the “Scan QR” button on the app’s home screen.
This will allow users to send funds and make payments and transfers by scanning DuitNow QR code using the app’s camera or by choosing an image from the device’s gallery.
There is also the option for users to display their own QR code to receive transfers.
Transactions made via DuitNow QR will not be eligible for the 1% unlimited cashback bonus offered by the digital bank.
The default daily limit for QR payments in the app is set to RM1,000, though this can be increased up to RM5,000, while peer-to-peer and bank are set to RM5,000 by default, and can be set to a maximum of RM50,000.
GX Bank previously started offering a debit card to all its users last month and intends to launch a referral system in April.
