PETALING JAYA: Cypark Resources Bhd ’s 100MWac large-scale solar three (LSS3) hybrid solar plant project has achieved initial operations (IOD) as at April 21, 2024.
The company said the hybrid solar plant consists of 83MWac ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PVs) and 32MWac of floating solar PVs.
With the IOD completed, the plant will transition to full commercial operations (COD) over the next two weeks, said Cypark executive chair Datuk Ami Moris.
“Cypark has gone through a substantive transition over the past 12 months to ensure the quality delivery of this unique hybrid power plant.
“The Jakel Group as the new major shareholder has successfully provided a needed boost of both capital and project management expertise, while our reconstituted board is doing the right things to ensure the long-term sustainability of Cypark,” he said in a statement.
Ami praised the group for getting the job done. With an ongoing strategic review by the newly constituted board, he is confident that Cypark is on the right path forward to be a leading Malaysian energy provider, especially with the next delivery of its 60MW LSS2 floating solar facility in Kelantan.
